Henry’s
Beard is a unique destination café on the British Festival
circuit.
We are a travelling café and just love to feed, entertain
and make the tea!
About Us Using locally sourced and organic ingredients, we pride ourselves
in cooking delicious food using very fresh ingredients. We have
a talented team of professional chefs and a happy, friendly, helpful
front of house crew.
Ingredients and suppliers are very important and wherever we are
located we try to buy locally and organically. We also aim to use
Fair-trade products and buy from our local tea company Clipper Teas!
We sell organic cakes from the famous Village Bakery as well as
other locally sourced bakery products and apple juice from Bridge
Farm, Somerset. Organic salad is grown to order by Pat Foxwell,
a local small holder in the Bride Valley, Dorset. This year we have
our own brand of crisps made by Jack and Ollies, our local luxury
crisp manufacturer. We make every effort to use only organic milk
and try to source this wherever we go.
We
have a menu which has developed over the years due to popular demand,
ranging from our signature dish: the vegetarian breakfast (500 per
day sometimes!) , to the Henry’s Beard Coconut and Potato
Curry to the Roasted Red Peppers stuffed with date and figs and
scented couscous.
